About Me
I am as easy going as they come. I am far from a control freak. I love to relax and have fun without the aid of loud music or drugs. I put a high priority on mental as well as physical health.
I think a sense of humour is the most important thing in a person. The Ramayana says that although everything else is an illusion, the three realities are God, Human folly, and Laughter. Since we can do nothing about the first two, we are left with the third.
I’m not shallow or the typical guy (which seems to be actually detrimental to making successful connections). I think women are precious. As a result, I am not interested in the promiscuous, since we would have little in common. I think intimacy ought to be a varying mix of passion, fun, and spirituality.
I had expectations of life when I was younger—romantic idealistic ones, but life has taught me Hamlet is correct in saying, “The readiness is all. Let be.” Happiness and true love are rare luxuries, and obsessing over them may get one irrevocably lost. Ideals though they be, knowing oneself and letting go of one’s ego is all that can be relied upon to honestly prepare for the unpredictable opportunity for true fulfillment. If I seem complex, know that I crave simplicity.
Oh, and I’m a huge animal lover!
First Date
One during which occasional silences are not awkward. I love stimulating coversations, good movies, books, and music, but more than anything, I love being comfortable with someone to the extent that we can sit still, hold hands, and enjoy a quiet peace.
