 | I had recently returned to Plenty of Fish, not sure if anything would change--would I find HIM? Within a week of returning , I received a message from my sweetheart, and when I saw his picture, I couldn't breath, he was so handsome! After reading his profile, and realizing how much we have in common, I contacted him. Soon, we were sharing emails, then my love asked me for my phone number. At first, the calls were sporadic, but eventually, he was calling everyday, and we would talk and laugh for 3-4 hours at a time!!!! Nothing is more attractive to me than a man with a wonderful sense of humor, and my Ray is a master!!!!!! I drove down to see him recently, and that is when we knew for sure that this is the real deal. We are both very open, down-to-earth people, and share so much together.  | Rob contacted me through PlentyofFish.com last March 2006 and we began to email back and forth through the website. He scared me initially because he told me he knew immediately that I was the one for him. We then began to talk on yahoo messanger on webcam and he finally persuaded me to meet him "just once." I told him I just wanted to go out as friends only and he said "well don't friends just go out to dinner sometimes?" We met and I was taken back by his thoughtfulness and kindness. He had such loving warm eyes and his shy demeanor intruiged me. He had a glint in his eye that said he wasn't as shy as he let on. We had dinner and then went on to go hear a band I was invited to hear by one of the bandmates. This band member proceeded to hit on me right infront of Rob who set him straight that I was with him. Rob will tell you that he knew we were meant to be together from the very start. I think we both knew it was love at first sight although I was hesitant to believe it could happen to me. I had dated alot of jerks before Rob. Regardless, we had told Rob's family within the month that we planned on getting married that summer. Although his family thought it seemed to be a whirlwind romance, they couldn't help but say that what we had together seemed wonderful. Rob's father thanked me for being in Rob's life and told me "we have our old Rob back." Due to some personal issues which Rob needed to address which I wont get into here, we needed to postpone our wedding. As parents we both understood our kids needs came before our own desires. We are in the process of planning a small intimate wedding which we hope will take place in the next few months surrounded by just immediate family. Dreams do come true. Rob is my very best friend and my soulmate. He is who I have been looking for since I was a little girl dreaming of her prince charming. It is uncanny how much we have in common, and I know that God used your website to bring us together. We are learning how to trust and love again, both of us coming from horrible former marriages. We laugh and smile and play and I found out that that glint in his eye was just what I was looking for. ROTFLMAO! Thank you for finding my soulmate for me/us.  | I first came across janets profile back in april 06 and couldn't resist sending her a message. While most girls made sure their pictures portrayed them at their best I found Janets photos showed me a fun and crazy girl that wasn't afraid to let her hair down and have a good time. After talking to Janet only twice through POF, my profile was deleted for reasons that i'm unaware of so i made another account and completly forgot about her until one day I was randomly searching again and found her wacky profile one more time. i couldn't resist messaging her again and from there we talked almost daily for about 2 weeks and then we exchanged numbers and set up a date. Janet was the third person i had met on POF and went on a date with, and well i guess third times a charm. The morning of our date my car broke down so I had to get a rental car. when i went to the rental place all they had were minivans, there was no way i was going on a first date in a minivan, i asked the guy what else he had and he showed me a convertible red 2006 mustang, ooh yeah, so i picked her up in a beautiful red mustang and we cruised for about an hour through the countryside with the top down just talking and getting to know one another. After that we went out for some hot wings and beer (her idea believe it or not), how could you not love a girl that wants hot wings and beer on a first date. Anyways the first date went great lasted 7 hours and ended with me walking her to her door and giving her a hug goodbye and a promise to call, since then we've pretty much been together everyday, we moved in together in November and I just proposed yesterday (February 14, 2007) P.S. She said "yes". So now we plan to get married in January 2008. I can definatly say plenty of fish worked for us. Thanks so much, Josh and Janet Delong |
 | We both were on your website and after some conversations, we decided it was time to meet. The trouble we had was when and how. I live in Bellingham and he lived in Roy. When we saw each other on the site, it was love at first site. We missed a few calls to each other and when he caught up with me we decided to meet immediately and he rode his M.C. to see me. We fell in love with the person within, inside out. We went to dinner that weekend and met some random people who offered him a job. He moved up here the following week and we have been together ever since, just over six months now. He gave me an engagement ring around Christmas time. We spent Christmas with his very large family and I have now found the large family that I always wished I had. His mom is like my mom. She is loving, kind and has a gentle spirit just like her son. I have made friends with his Aunt and all of his brothers and wives and feel like I have always been a part of this family. Lucky me, mom always said my prince would come, and he did. I was 51 at the time we met and he is 49, our plans include being with each other forever. We found each other to be kindred spirits who have fallen in love. |
