We both had been on various dating sites and found plenty of fish and had been attracted to the fact that it was free to talk and send email. I kept seeing Irwin's picture every time I would sign on and after a few weeks, sent him an email asking if he would like to talk. I replied and immediately we began to im each other. He seemed to be very sincere and not like most of the guys you talk to online. He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him. Within minutes he called and we talked for an hour or so. He asked if we could meet soon and made plans for dinner the following Friday. On Saturday, he called a few times and asked what I would be doing on the 4th. I replied that my daughter would be with her dad, so I did not have any plans made. He asked if he could come see me and we could enjoy the fireworks together. Of course I said yes, the more I talked to this man, the more I wanted to meet him. On Sunday, several more phone calls occurred and then he said he couldn't wait to meet me on the 4th, would I like to meet him for lunch on Monday. By then we had talk so much, I was very eager to meet him. He was a sweetheart and called me on my way to work Monday to make sure I still wanted to meet; we talked on my whole trip into work and into the building. I had to attend a meeting and told him I would call him when I was done with the meeting. The meeting finally ended and I called him to say I was free to meet. We agreed on a place and I made it there a few minutes before him. It was a beautiful summer day; I was sitting in my convertible, glancing at the newspaper when I saw him pull into the lot. My heart jumped and started to flutter then. I was surprised by how I was feeling and tried very hard not to reveal it to him. He confidently strode across the parking lot and gave me a quick hug and a short kiss, then held my hand. I knew once he held me in his arms that my heart had melted and I was falling in love. Little did I know that he had the same reaction to seeing me. We had a long lunch together and then parted and went back to work. We had another long conversation on the phone that night, revealing all about our lives to each other. The next day, he came to my place early and we had a chance to talk more. I was not living in a really great neighborhood at the time and he asked me if I wanted to go and see his place. We jumped in my car and went to his place. He cautioned me that it was in a little disarray. He had been alone for a few years since his wife had past and had not really cared for the house in a long time. I didn't think it was as bad as he claimed and after showing me his place he asked if I would move in with him. For the first time in my life, I threw caution to the wind and went completely with my heart and said yes. I moved in the next day, and by Saturday we were engaged. By August 4, we were setting a definite date to be married. We've been together for 7 months now and continue to be very happily in love. We have found true happiness and love and hope everyone else will give online dating a chance. We will be thanking plenty of fish when we get married on August 25, 2007. Ellen and Irwin.
I actually got this website from my ex on his yahoo profile so I thought I would give it a shot. I have tried alot of dating sites and I did actually talk to about 3 people before meeting hubby.I liked it because its free and you can chat thru instant msg here. But then my future husband found me. I was traveling one day and my cell phone alerted me with a msg. He sent me a msg saying to bad you don't date younger guys. I laughed and said no I don't.Then he said that's to bad because your cute. I thought great another weirdo with a cheesy line. Well I just talked to him for a couple days Still thinking this is just another random dude. I finally chose to see him. I went to his house and gave him 5 mins to walk away. He stayed. We watched TV and talked. It was pretty cool. We have so much in common and and really had nothing to offer each other. He lived with his mom working part time and I was living with mine working part time as well. We saw each other almost everyday and got married a month later. We both struggled at first making ends meet living with his mother but now over a year later we have our own place and work together at a very good job. Without each other we wouldn't be living this good. It took me 28 years to finally be comfortable. And who knew that it would turn out this way. It was just a mouse click away!

Strange how some people are meant to be. I was browsing Australian profiles one night out of boredom and the first set of pics delivered a solid blow to my heart. I saw his pic and had to say hi. He immediately responded and wanted to phone me. I agreed and we talked for almost 6 hours from Australia to the USA. I was living in Missouri at the time. Strangely enough he had visited my profile a week or so earlier and didn't write me because I was so far away. From that point forward every night we talked for long hours until he asked me to come for a visit. He provided my airfare and I took a chance. As soon as I stepped off the plane and saw him I knew I'd met the man for me. I stayed for 3 months then had to return to USA. The phone calls resumed and after a few months stateside I was on my way back to Australia. He asked me to marry him and I couldn't resist. We are emphatically in love and have reached far and wide to find our soulmates. It was worth it. The date is not set yet because we are still doing the immigration thing but it will be soon. Thank you POF for providing us with the vehicle to find each other and consummate a relationship that will last our lifetimes.
My husband Tim contacted me on a Thursday eveining thru Plenty of Fish, We talked off and on via email on Friday and then on Saturday we spoke on the phone here and there. That Sunday we talked on the phone for 15 hours, That is not a typo i did say 15. We could not wait to see one another and with Monday being Memorial Day what better time than the present,so we planed a date. He lived in Albany, OR and me in Central Point, OR which is about 200 miles away. On Sunday Tim drove down to Central POint, we meet at my appartment, and the three of us, Tim, Myself and my 9 year old son, decided to go to the Oregon Caves, we took the senic route to get there and almost got lost, we talked the whole way, still having lost to talk about. After the Caves we went to drinner in Grants Pass, and then back to my place were we talk until Mid-night. He was a perfect gentleman. From then on when we could not be together we were on the phone with one another. Just over two weeks later we decided we wanted to be together always and started planning on getting married and me moving to Albany, OR. We have since been married for nearly 7 months and not a single regret other thna not meeting each other sooner in life. We are both very happy and both very much in love with each other. Thank you Plentyof Fish, I have found my bestfriend, partner, and soul mate all in one very very special man. I could not imagine life without him, and am blessed to have him a part of my life.
