 | We had both placed ads on plentyoffish obviously. On July 18th, I sent Rob an email saying that I was interested in knowing more about him. He quickly responded the same day. We continued communicating through email and on the phone for a couple of weeks. Then on July 31st, 2004, I travelled 3 1/2 hours by car to meet him in person in his hometown. He had rented a hotel room for me to stay in. When I first arrived, he picked me up and we drove to his Grandmother's house for a visit. We did a lot of talking and just got to know each other a little more. That evening, we went to a concert with some of his friends. The next morning, he picked me up from the hotel and took me out for breakfast. We spent the rest of that day together and attended some local entertainment (ie. Demolition Derby). That evening we rented a movie. The next day I headed home not really knowing where things would go from there. We continued travelling back and forth for a few months. Then Rob asked me to move out to Gander with him. After securing a position at the hospital there, I moved on November 21st, 2004. We were together for almost a year when Rob got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was shocked, but said yes of course. We are now very happy and are in the process of planning our wedding which is in June. Things are wonderful. We are so happy together. It's a very diplomatic process in which it was easy to let a guy know that he wasn't "my type", without causing offense - no more handing out fake numbers in bars! Being picky in all ways, it took me a little time to find Marc, but I stuck to it & when I saw his profile, his pictures & when we first began to correspond with each other, I knew I had a great catch! Our first date cinched it & over two years later, it feels like that date never ended. Having a life partner has given everything in my life more meaning & more joy and I'm so glad to be in my 30's, with a husband & hopefully someday soon, a family.  | I had contacted him and then left well alone. A few weeks later I received an email from him. We began talking online and then eventually on the phone. There was an instant connection when we met and the rest is history! We were recently engaged and are looking forward to our Wedding in May 2007. After meeting a few off this site along came the love of my life. we atlked for a few weeks on the net and then met for the first time. And since then we have been together since then. We got married on December 21, 2006. I see now what true love is like.
