 | We met through POF. There was an instant connection. We clicked immediately there was attraction on every level. It seemed like we'd known each other our entire lives, even on the first meeting we could finish each others sentences. We became engaged quickly and plan to be married soon. We are more in love every day and spend every waking moment together. POF works, sometimes it just takes a while to find that special someone, POF allows you to meet many more people than you could normally in your everyday life, giving you more of a chance to meet that special someone.  | We met on "Plenty of Fish" in August purely by chance, my girlfriend lived in Moncton N.B. and I lived in the next province over (Nova Scotia) and I was getting ready to give up on POF after alot of deadend Tim Hortons meetings. Somebody from Nova Scotia contacted Arlene and that made visible my profile to her and I just happened to be logged on at that moment.....Arlene wrote me an E-mail and it was love at first sight. We started talking on the phone and within a week we decided I would go up and visit for the weekend and see how it went ...well all I can say it was one awesome weekend and for the next 4 months I went up every Friday after work to Moncton and spent the weekend there until finally we both realized it was getting to hard to say goodbye on Sunday evening, when I would drive back to Halifax and start a new week calling every night and talking by e mail through the day at work.....On Dec 1st we decided to move in to a place together in Halifax and we have never looked back since.........I was beginning to think pof was a waste of time but I am now grateful for pof and the guy who wrote Arlene that day back in August. We are now starting our new life together and plan to marry in the near future, we are truly happy and we spend alot of time together and we both would just like to thank pof for this wonderful chance for us to begin our new lives together, I hope others on pof find the happiness that we have found!!  | I met my now husband on August 19th for the first time, and immediately knew there was something different about this one. We instantly fit together. We have so many of the same interests, view points and values. I knew at the very least this man would be a dear friend for life. Though as the days went on and we had yet to spend one day apart we both came to the realization that the other was "the one".  | I had just placed my profile on POF and did one search and came across a picture and profile that really caught my attention! I emailed him asking if he was "still looking". By his response, I could tell he had given up and when it happened it would happen. We continued emailing each other for about a week when I asked him if he wanted to meet for coffee. We met later that day and we both knew right away there was something special between us . . . like we had known each other for a lifetime. We haven't looked back since. We just got engaged and we couldn't be happier. Thank you POF for giving us the opportunity to meet and for giving us a lifetime to look forward to ! ! ! |
 | We met near the end of August 2005. Three days after talking and having met once for coffee, we decided to get married in September 2005. We now have an 8 month old son and have been together ever since and are very happy! |
