 | First, I want to say that I have met and dated some really great people from the POF site. In August 2006, I got an email that really entrigued me. It was short and sweet. We emailed back and forth and talked everyday for hours on the phone. We lived about 125 km away from each other. When we met in person, we both knew that this was the real thing. Our first date was at High Falls. It was an unbelievable date. Started about 4 pm and then we realized it was already after 10 pm. Time just flew and we enjoyed every second! It felt like we had known each other for years. Doug proposed on a moonlite night, on the rocks by Georgian Bay. We just moved into our new home together in Muskoka and are enjoying every minute. We are getting married at High Falls on 07/07/07 so wedding plans are well underway. Thank you Markus for an awesome site and a great way to meet exciting and fun people. I have truly found my soulmate and for a while I didnt think he existed! Thanks again. |
 | I was a single mother of two very active boys so finding that special someone was always more of a challenge for me then others. I had tried other dating sites and found them to be not very helpful at all. I was ready to throw in the towel when my aunt had handed me the web address for Plenty of Fish. I thought to myself. Well, I might as well try. What do I have to lose. I soon there after signed up for an account, made my profile and started browsing the guys. I found Plenty of Fish was very helpful in providing the information I needed to know on wether or not I would be interested in a possible mate. I browsed for a few weeks when I came upon Erics profile. He appeared to be everything I wanted in a partener so I emailed him through your site wondering if he would email me back. The next day I got an email from Eric. He was excited to hear from me. We emailed through Plenty of Fish for awhile then eventually started talking on the phone. He appeared to be all I ever wanted in a man. He was aware of my children and accepted that fact that a relationship with me ment a whole lot of baggage to go along. But he knew I had kids because my Plenty of Fish profile allowed me to be honest about every aspect of my life. Eric and I talked on the phone for about a month before we decided to meet. I was so very nervous to meet this man who i had built up to be "the One" in my head. But I knew it had to happen. Eric and I were 6 hrs apart from eachother. So we decided he would come up to see me. The day came when we finally met. When we saw eachother for the first time, we smiled but remained real shy with eachother. After about an hour, the nervousness completely melted away and I knew he was going to one day be my husband. He was my bestfriend from that day on. On December 2nd, 2005 Eric asked me to marry him and with out hesitation I said yes! We enjoyed our engagement and made plans for our wedding. On October 14th, 2006 we were united in marriage in a beautiful ceremony before family and friends. It was truely one of the happiest moments of my life. I married my soulmate and bestfriend that day. The boys absolutely love him. They have accepted him without reservation and Eric loves them like they were his own. It is now February 9th, 2007 and Eric and I are now expecting our first baby together and are so very excited! We'll have three children in the house when our new baby arrives. None of this would be possible without Plenty of Fish. Eric is from Central Iowa and I am from Northern Minnesota. We were six hours apart. Plenty of Fish gave us the opportunity to meet eachother in which other wise we probably would have never met. We owe Plenty of Fish our endless graditude in helping unite us. This is truely a success story for Plenty of Fish. I found the love of my life! Thank you so very much. |
