 | Hi! This is Alessandro and I'm Italian. Do you want to know a nice strange story? My girlfriend and I, met on POF on November 2006. I was in Italy, and one morning I just went online cause I didn't want to do so much at work; it was one of those boring days... I got on POF cause I was surfing on internet, and I saw it was free so I got my profile. After that, I started to look for profiles and I saw Jenni's one. I really liked it and I decided to write her, but I didnt think she was going to answer me, cause she lived in America and me in Italy... So I got offline and started to work again. When I got home at night, I was curious to know if she answered and I got online and SHE DID!! So we started to write long emails and to get online on MSN messenger too, even if we had 6 hours difference ( Italy is 6 hours ahead). We didnt care about all of that, We just were falling in LOVE day by day and we were lucky, cause I knew English. After MSN we decided to meet each other cause we felt already LOVE even if we didnt meet in person for 2 months. So one day in Jennuary 2007, I bought a ticket and I went to America with a friend and I met her!! Am I crazy? I dont think so!  | By trying do some "grief therapy" online, this site came up in searching. After seeing so many interesting profiles, just figured what the heck & added mine. Although I did not go on this site to find a relationship after recently losing my partner in life, I found the most incredible man and best friend that anyone could want ever. At first, the distance range was 75 miles. Out of curiosity, it was expanded to 100 & the rest is history. We are so compatable & completely amazed that we found each other. Our courtship was a whirlwind and mind blowing. We both new it was something special the moment we laid eyes on one another.  | My name is Diana "Dee" Wensel. I had joined plentyoffish last year hoping to find someone that I could enjoy live with. I had been in a troubled marriage for 15 years to a man that verbally abused me and my children. I have 5 children aged 6-17, 1 which was from a previous marriage. I was scanning through the many profiles on your website and ran across David's. I looked at it repeatedly and put it into my favorites, not doing anything at the time because I was still new at the dating scene and a little nervous. For a couple weeks I would scan the profiles, but found myself going into my favs every once in a while to look over this mystery mans profile. One Friday evening, May 11th to be exact, my children went to their fathers for the weekend and I was home alone, no place to go, nobody to see. I went into your website and found this mystery man was ONLINE...I wanted to say hello, as I was about to IM him, I rec'd one from him...Come to find out he had saved my profile into his favs too, and just now got the nerve to contact me. We chatted for hours, finding out as much as we could about each other...We decided to meet the next morning for breakfast(he lived an hour and a half away in Pittsburgh)..I told him I wanted to meet in a public place(for the safety of myself). We agreed to meet halfway...at a place called Pittsburgh Mills Mall. It turned out, this Mall was closer to his home than mine, so he called me on my cellphone to tell me he was there and I was still a half hour away...He told me he would go a couple more exits and meet me in a PARK n' RIDE. I pulled in to see this gentleman standing behind his car with the most adorable smile...I immediately thought, "something is not right...He looks so normal!!!! There has to be something wrong with him...There is no reason this guy needs to go onto a dating site, he's gorgeous"!!! I parked my car and got out, I walked up to him, expecting a highpitch "hello" or something...When he said hello, my heart melted!!! He had the deepest, most manly voice I had ever heard in my life. We gave each other a welcoming hug and stood in the parking lot just staring at each other.. At one point he went to his car and pulled out a dozen roses and handed them to me(I found out later that he left them in the car in case I wasn't who I described I was) hehe. We decided to go for breakfast at a little hometown restaurant in the area, and then to just spend the rest of the day getting to know each other. In the afternoon, we decided to go back to my place and cook some steaks on the grill and just hang out together. I introduced him to a couple of friends that lived across the street, they invited us over to play cards..Before long, it was midnight. He had a 1 1/2 hr trip ahead of him, the next day was Mother's day. I told him my children were at their fathers, I had 5 empty beds he could choose, he did not have to drive back home this late. He accepted the invite, he took my oldest son's room and I in mine. The next morning(mother's day) I woke to the smell of coffee...We sat on my back deck, drank our morning coffee and did some more talking. He explained he needed to get to his mother's, to spend the day with her(a man that loves his mother)..I couldn't believe it...My time with this man was running out...Not true, it was just on hold...On May 12th, 2006 I met the man I am now madly in love with...David Walter Scheller |
 | We met on here in 2006, i saw his picture and thought he would never be interested in me so i never messaged him. A few days later i recieved a message from him and ever since we have been inseperable. He has taken on my 2 kids from a previous relationship and we got engaged on xmas day 2006.I have never been so happy!
