we are getting married in August 2008.
Our first date was swimming at a lake. We hit it off right away. We went back to my place ate pizza & watched a movie, he never left. We have spent everyday together since the first day we met. When you know & everything works why fight it. We have an amazing relationship and everyday I am just as excited to see him as the first time I met him. I look forward to sharing this life with him. Mike I am so in love with you.
well where can i start... we started talking in march 2006, we exchanged msn addresses and spoke every night as friends, neither of us thinking anything would come of it being that we lived so far apart (288 miles),we bonded as friends at first, then after a few months of constant chit chat we both realised how much we got on and wondered if it was worth giving a long distance relationship a shot, i kept asking lorraine if we could meet, just as friends at first but she was very scepticle due to the bad publicity of the net, i finally got her to agree to meet in september 2006, but after just a few hours it was clear that it was the start of something special, it was just the odd weekend to start with, which quickly progressed to the odd week here and there, i even took some time off work to be with her, well quite abit of time accually(3 months to be exact), we'd talked about living together but never thought it would ever happen, then at christmas 2006 i asked lorraine to marry me which i'm very happy to say she said yes, we decided to wait untill after christmas to move in together and are currently planning our wedding, which is in may 2008, we are very happy together and are extremly greatfull to plentyoffish.com for bringing us together, and wish every person on the site the very best of luck and hope they find what we have.
I added him to my list and then a few days later he sent me an email. We quickly started talking on messenger, and then on the phone. Turns out it was Valentines day when I finally drove up to meet him. We hit it off, and stayed in touch for awhile. We had some rocky time, but eventually things smoothed over. About 6 months in he moved in with me. We got engaged on Christmas day when he asked me to be his wife in front of my whole family. We are still undecided on the wedding date, but i've met my prince and am living life happily ever after.
After some dating disappointments, my fiance and I finally met on POF, after having found that the paid dating sites were not all they were cracked up to be. Someone recommended POF and it was the best move I ever made. Both being divorced single parents of teen aged kids, there simply was no good way to meet decent people, as we were not into the bar scene, and even if we were, our busy lives would not permit it. From the first few emails, it became apparent that this man was unlike most others in online dating...he was decent, serious and the "real deal". We met for coffee, chatted for an hour or so, and went back to our respective cities and children. We then met a few more times over dinner, and lunches and planned a first meeting of our children. This was a very important step for us, as it was not just the two of us dating, but the possible blending of families. Things went very well and several months later, we became happily engaged. Our big happy wedding will be in July 2007! We are both family-oriented people and our childrens' security is most important, and neither one of us was into games. In each other we have found the supportive and caring partners we lacked before. In addition to our deep love for one another, we have had a lot of fun travelling back and forth (weekends) and integrating ourselves into each others' lives - I have now learned to appreciate street performance cars, and auto shows, and also have learned to rollerblade! And I have someone who really appreciates me cooking! Thanks to POF I met the man of my dreams, and my whole life has turned around. And I finally have a man who appreciates all that I have had to give to my beloved life long spouse. Just remember that there are good people out there, and they are waiting for the right person to find them. Be willing to take a little more time to get a chance to know them! I hope you will be as lucky as we have been! (Actually it's not luck but destiny!)
