| While the searching in my area became very thin with choices, I got frustrated after months of dating a select few in Boise, I had enough. I was 37 never married, had some bad relationships, including a terrible 4 year journey that finally ended to provoke me to sign up on plenty of fish. I got several dates locally but nothing panned out. I sat down one evening, and started seeking in other states, I started with neighboring ones like Oregon, Washington, and Utah. I corresponded with a couple but I didn' think I would make any kind of connection. So one day I sat down at my computer and started browsing in California, because let's face it the most beautiful women are in California. I emailed three or four in southern Cali, but they all replied "your too far away". So I kept plugging in different zip codes, THEN BOOM! There she was. Lucy. She looked great, I read her profile and it was a perfect description of what I have always wanted. She was funny, she knew what she wanted, very pretty, and a bright smile that made my heart feel like jello. I emailed her, but she emailed me back and said something like: "you need to describe yourself and what you have" I replied and made some changes to my profile, and then she emailed back and then I emailed, and so on, and finally after several weeks of emailing, We exchanged phone numbers, and next thing you know I was calling her long distance every night after I got home from work. About a month later I asked if she would like to come to Boise for my birthday, and she agreed. So in August she flew from L.A. to Boise and when I picked her up from the airport it was sparks flying instantly! To add some humor to this, while I waited for her flight to arrive somehow she walked by me in the airport and was standing outside, while just on the other side of the glass windows I was facing the other way looking at the luggage area. I noticed this beautiful Dark skinned, long flowing haired angel standing outside, and it dawned on me that looked like her, so I went outside and we both surprised each other and started laughing.Lucy had never been to Idaho before, so while she was here for two days I took her to a ghost town because she had never been to one, and I also took her to the mountains and did some sight seeing. While she and I enjoyed our weekend, something else occured. I asked her to relocate here, and she agreed, and on Labor day I took 4 days off of work. I drove from Boise to Los Angeles in 14 hours and only had my pick up. I never been there before so I had to get directions, and when I arrived we moved that same night. Our drive back landed us in a town northwest of L.A. called Solvang. That was a really nice place. The town looked like a danish town, with windmills, and coo-coo clock stores so we had to get one of them. Then we drove to San Francisco that was fun, Lucy had me take us to fishermans wharf, and we took lots of pictures. (Lucy is a professional photographer by the way) Our trip continued to Reno (I have been there many times) and finally back to the city of trees. Here it is 5 months later we are as happy as any couple can be. We went to the mall and got our wedding rings this past weekend, and plan to get married 1 year exactly when we met the first time. Lucy has never been married either, I once told her in one of our conversations "we are no spring chickens we need to get married, just do it" Next year in June of 2008 we are flying to Lucy's native town in Mexico (Puebla near mexico city) to do a traditional marriage. This year we will get married in Boise. I never thought i would ever find anyone like Lucy. I said to myself the first time I ever laid eyes on her I was going to Marry her someday, and I was right. Thank you plenty of fish, and I hope everyone who reads this gets some inspiration and my favorite word "determination" you gotta go after it, because you may never get a second chance, and life is too short to have regrets. | i was skeptical at first , but was quite tired of meeting the wrong type of people .even didn't trust my own judgement for a while. i firmly believed that this site would shed a different light,so i spent some time talking and meeting and a lot of near misses , but that of course should be expected.our meeting was quite by chance as i had all but given up ,and found myself searching other places just for fun and never thought anything would come of it but i spotted her profile on the west coast and i was in the prairies . i was merely talking because i thought there would be others like me who just weren't connecting ,and though a few words of encouragement could nt hurt.we got to talking and turns out she was from a small town where i grew up so we talked for a while about that and as it turns out she was coming in to my town soon.we met and hit it off eventually i had always wanted to move back to the west coast and now i had yet another really good reason . |

| Jeremy emailed me and I answered back with just my number. We talked for 3 days straight on the phone for hours on end. Decided then to meet while he was taken some tests for certifications. We met and the rest is becoming history. We now have a little boy Jaiden and are all sharing life together. The best of luck to all the singles eventually the right one comes along...Just be patient...Sandy Jeremy and Jaiden |
| Ian and I met here on Plenty of fish, he contacted me we chatted and the next day (January 8th 2006) we went out for brunch. After brunch when it was time to leave I knew that I wanted to see him again. We then went on more dates and 3 months after we had met Ian asked me to marry him I thought he was kidding, nope he was very serious I said yes...we then got engaged September 3rd 2006, we had a party for our close family and friends. And now we have set our wedding date September 2007. I never thought I would meet some serious online but I guess anything can happen. I’m happy to have been on this site and to have met Ian. We have a great love. Thank you |
