 | Well here it goes, I was on plenty of fish and met wonderful people on there,but there was one person that really caught my eye. So i did contact her hoping that she would contact me and well as you all can see she did.We talked throught email for awhile and then we met up in her home town Timmins.we hit it off like nothing.I moved in with her and we have been together ever since. I am planning to get engaged to her this Valetines day this year 2007 and i know that she will say YES. I belive that we where meant to be together. I just want to tell people that it really does work please don't give up. |
 | We met at one of the POF meets here in Calgary in December 2005. There was an instant attraction. Love at fist sight, if you will. It seemed almost magical. We were at a little get together at a pub and talked all night until he had to go. We didn't see each other for about three weeks after that until he came out to another meet and we were hooked. We stayed out all night talking. I had never felt so comfortable with someone so quickly. We had so much fun together. Our first official date was a New Years Eve party up in Edmonton. We officially became a couple at midnight....January 1, 2006. We got engaged June 2006. We are now expecting a baby due any day now(Feb 11th). So, our marriage plans have been put off until 2008.  | I met my girlfriend through this site by total chance. I was skeptical of the internet dating thing I had heard so much about. I basically threw up a profile because my friends told me it was something that could really work for me. Knowing that anonymity allows others to show their real selves, I started perusing the list of available women in my area. I came upon a single profile that stood out. It had a picture of something, not someone. I read the profile and found a lot of common interests so I put my fingers to the keys and sent a message, never expecting a response. That response came a few days later and I was quite surprised since I had not heard anything from anyone. So we started a little banter online for a while and she posted real pictures on the site. I thought she was really cute but she then explained to me that she had been dishonest a little. She had posted someone else's photo's in place of her own. I was upset until she sent me her actual photo. She was even cuter than I originally thought! She was very assertive and asked for my messenger contact info so we could stop sending delayed messages and chat live. After only a few days of chatting on messenger, she suggested we meet. We met and it was awkward at first but it turned out to be the best first date I ever had. we ALMOST hugged. we chatted on messenger right after the date and I was jubilant! We had many dates after that. Since then, we have realized how much in love we are and are planning a life together. Though I have not proposed officially, marriage is definitely in the plans! She is wearing a nice promise ring. It amazes me how lucky I must be to meet the perfect mate in the most unlikely of places. Thanks POF! |
 | Hi everyone. Yes Plenty of fish can bring happiness. I messaged Jim on Plenty Of Fish on Aug 26, 2006. We met at Tim Hortons on Sept 1 2006 and it was love at first site. We where engaged in Oct 2006 (Thanksgiving weekend) And im happy to say we are getting married Feb 17 2007. Thank you Plenty of Fish for helping me find the Man of my Dreams.  | We have over Plenty Of Fish. We dated a couple of times out for coffee , dinner and walking with a full moon and we hit it off so good that we decided to keep going. We now have been together for 11 months. I know myself that we a perfect together. We will be getting married soon of a year and we couldn't be so happy. Also her sister met someone at Plenty Of Fish after we told her about it. and she also is currently commited to someone .
