 | We met while my new wife was looking at the Plenty Of Fish site and had noticed that I was on her favorite list. She e-mailed me, and we started writing to each other quite frequently. We exchanged phone numbers about five days later. Our first telephone conversation lasted about 3 hours! We had so much in common and where able to make each other laugh, we soon found out that we both had the same sence of humor, a trait we had never found in anybody else before. A week later we had our first date at a local casino and had dinner. We had a great time, talking and playing the slots, it must have lasted for hours. We laughed almost the whole time we were there. When we both decided it was getting late we walked back to the car, talked for another hour on how well the date had gone and how easy it was to talk to one another. From then on we dated exclusively, every weekend. We talked on the phone almost every evening as well. Four months later I moved in with her, and on her birthday we went to a park and I proposed to her. Lucky for me she said yes. We moved out of her house and found our own place that we could call "ours". And this past Valentines day (2007)we got married. All of our families where there and everyone got along great. If it wasn't for Plenty Of Fish, we probably would not have ever met. Thank you for letting me meet this wonderful lady. |

 | Thursday, February 15, 2007 To Whom It May Concern: I have been a member of dating sites for several years now, going thru Kiss, Match, attempting E-Harmony [very expensive], SinglesUSA, Date, a couple of local ones in my city/state [WA state], etc etc. I attached the testimonial I felt very justified in describing my fiancé below and on POF's website linked to her profile. I believe POF has it all, does the things one needs in e-dating better than the other sites, and of course, there is NO charge to the users. I have not used the forums extensively, but do notice they have a very large following. I especially like the continual improvements this site makes, such as the above-mentioned testimonials, the "who's viewed me" [as the old Kiss used], etc. I almost daily recommend POF to anyone who will listen, as I DID meet the woman of my dreams on this, and in NO WAY would have otherwise met someone from over 2800 miles away who is such a soul mate and best friend to me. I have never received Spam or annoying emails from anything that I can see is linked to POF at all, which is not true for other sites. Before I met my fiancé, I also made acquaintance w/several other ladies, a few of whom we still keep in contact w/as e-pen pals and friends. It is a very down to earth site, and I do not see much of anything that I would even offer as improvements. Conversely, most other dating sites could utilize a plethora of ideas from POF to better serve their client’s needs, especially since some of them are charging $30/month or more. I can be contacted should further info or ?'s arise, as I can only hope that many others find the same satisfied feelings w/in me as they continue their quests for a true blue mate here on POF. No one is perfect, but she is perfect for me. I have found her to have qualities from several arenas that are truly admirable and exciting. She is exotically beautiful, finds faith in her higher power, demonstrates true emotion[s], and is introspective and intelligent enough to incorporate all of the above into an amazingly exquisite package.  | Hi! I'm writing about my sister and her true love. My sister,Connie, was looking on POF and saw David's pic. She lives in Ontario,Canada and David in Florida. She was planning a trip to Florida and wanted to meet someone. She contacted him and he wrote back. They communicated until she went to Florida. He met her in Florida and its been true love every since. She stayed in Florida for about a week and come back home to Canada.They talked on the phone every night for hours on end.She went to see him at X-mas in 2005. She came back home after a week and told us she was going to move there.We were all happy for her. She quit her job and sold all of her belongings.She moved to Florida in March 2006. David came to Canada to pick her up. The family meet him and loved him right away.Before they went to Florida, David proposed to Connie.He asked my dad for her hand in marriage. So off they went to Florida in her car with her belongings and clothes. She didn't work there right away,she was doing some research so they could get married and for her to get her green card.She had to come back to Canada in June 2006 for a physical exam and other issues pertaining to her staying in Florida.She was a wreck!! she missed him so much. All she did was wait for his calls. His parents are retired so they planned a visit to meet my family in Canada. Super nice people. Since they were here, Connie decided to go back with them to Florida.She left in august 2006. I miss her deeply. So they got married in November 2006, my family could not make it. we wish we could have.Connie and David are having a reception in April 2007 and my family is going to attend this awesome event.I'm so excited to go see them in their home.I wish them the best of happiness and true love never dies.
