Engaged January 2007
"Long Distance Relationships do work out if you're strong enough to love eachother nomatter what life throws at you. Yes they can be difficult to endure, but loving Michael is the easiest thing I have ever done... =)" A CANADIAN CITY GIRL living in Toronto and A SUNNY FLORIDA BOY withstood all the obstacles and finally came face to face for their One Year Anniversary and are still growing strong. To be truthfully honest. I never signed up on here looking for love. My cousin had told me about the site. So one night at her house we were just browsing around and I thought maybe I might join for fun. I did just that and was extremely overwhelmed with how many responses I had recieved just in those first few days. After being bombarded with new notes and instant messages everytime I signed on. It got really hard to distinguish who was really standing out in my mind when nobody was really connecting to me on my level. Until that night he had instant messaged me I was really contemplating on cancelling my account. I clicked on his profile and thought to myself you know what I've talked to this guy before and felt at ease. I soon suggested we could talk on the phone if he didnt mind because I didn't really wanna deal with all the incoming instant messages. He agreed and we started to build on a great and close friendship for a few months. Feelings began growing stronger after the whole Hurricane Katrina ordeal. We both realized there was something special between us. Lets just say we've talked every single day since that first meeting on here. From instant bestfriends to the love of eachothers lives. Our prayers both answered by God. If it weren't for this site we would have never met. Theres no such thing as coincedence, it was meant to happen this way. Presently we are planning to get married in Hawaii in the upcoming new year. I'll be moving down to Florida to be with him and can't wait to start our lives finally together. I wish everybody good luck on finding that someone special. Many people give flack to people who meet over the net, and in some cases they're right for doing so. But despite all that i'm nothing but thankful to have even met him at all whether it was in the same city or not. Love knows no boundaries if it is pure.... Take Care everyone and happy fishing... =)

To Be Married May 2009
we actually met a long time ago when I was 11 and my love was 13 at a pool hall my father hung out and so did Ser.Then we met two years ago passing by when I worked for water depot for hot tubs at the 400 flea market and saw him and his two kids and reminded him of our encounter. Then I went on plenty of fish and saw his pic up in my folder and decided to write him and he answered back and we chated for a week and exchanged phone numbers and we hit it off since then. Our first date we went to a local resturant in Barrie and its history from there. Now we are engaged and getting married and its been such a wonderful experience that I finally found someone I really fell in love with and want to spend the rest of our lives together. Thank you for this site I hope that there will be many more for those searching for true love. Lisa

Married March 2006
I had received a promotion from the company that I work for in April of 2005. I was living in Cincinnati, Ohio at the time and part of the promotion required me to relocate to Houston, TX. I had been a member of Plentyoffish.com for a couple months prior to moving and decided to use the site to start conversing with people from what was going to be my new city. I contacted Daisy and asked her if she would be open to showing me around Houston. I guess she looked at my profile and decided she was up for it. When I did relocate, we met up and she showed me around the town, took me to the local eateries and showed me the places of interest. I decided fairly early ( depends on if you ask her or me on that one) that she was what I was looking for and we began to dating. During the process of getting to know the in's and out's of one another I also found out that she was someone that I could not live without and I wanted to grow old with her. I will admit, I was somewhat apprehensive telling people how we met. There always seems to be a stigma attached to anyone in a relationship that evolved from meeting online. The way I see it though, you can express yourself easier. One does not have to break down any of the "walls" that are in automatically in place in the Bar scene. Do women really want to be approached by a man who has had to many to drink in an effort to build up his courage to talk to an attractive lady? What if your hours do not allow you to frequent places that are meeting spots? That is where Plenty offish can help. Did I mention it is free? Hard to beat that in today’s age of monthly fee dating sites. Anyway, back to may story. Daisy and I continued dating and I proposed to her at the Airport (not the most romantic place i know) before she left for an over sea’s vacation. After a short engagement, we decided to tie the knot in March of 2006 and are coming up on our 1-year anniversary (shhhhh I want to see if she remembers). I suppose I owe my meeting her solely to Pletyoffish.com and am happy to share my story as a documented success.

Married November 2006
My wife and i met through plentyoffish.com in April of 2006. Our first meeting was at Starbucks for a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. After the first couple dates we both were developing a great understanding of each other. If your are completely honest in your profile, and know what you want out of life, its amazing how strong a bond can develop between two people who have similar goals and interests. When i proposed to her less than six months after our first date, there was no question in my mind this would be the woman i spend the rest of my life with. We have been married three months now, and i never imagined my life could be so fulfilling! The more we are together, the more we learn about each other and grow together as a couple. Thank you, plenty-of-fish!!!!

Married July 2007
Hello Plentyoffish.com! Kim and I met through plentyoffish.com in June of 2005. We started our relationship by chatting online and talking on the phone. We talked on the phone for hours everyday and finally met in person in July of 2005. I never thought I would ever be someone who would get married and start a family, but thanks to plentyofffish.com, I met my one true love and she said yes! to being my wife when I proposed in June 2006. We set our wedding date for the day we actually "met"...We are getting married July 29th, 2007..two years to the day that we actually met face to face. I have never been so happy and Kim is all I could have ever hoped for. If I could send a message to anyone regarding plentyoffish.com, I would say, "Hang in there, love has a way of finding you!" Very happy and cant wait to get married! Shawn Bragdon and Kimberly Geagan
