 | Ryan and I met on POF towards the end of January, 2006. We exchanged emails for a few weeks and then met in person a few days before Valentines day. During our first real life encounter we went out to the movies and just did the normal "get to know you" chit chat. After that night, we talked on yahoo messenger and I thought it wasn't going to go anywhere because I assumed he just wasn't interested. Then on Valentines day, my baby, sent me blue irises and it changed my life. We started to go on many dates and figured out we had a lot in common. We grew up about five miles apart, our birthdays are only two days apart and we were born in the same year. Besides sharing a common love of horror movies and the band TOOL, we found out we just loved each others company. Four months later we moved in together and this past December, Ryan asked me to marry him. If it wasn't for Plentyoffish we would have never found each other and we hope the site helps bring more people together. |

 | Well I met my soon to be husband on this site. I was on this site for about a year and half before we ever met. I met a few people off here and ended up making a few good friends, but no romantic future. I was about to delete my profile, but then Dave ended up emailing me when I was getting ready to delete my account. We ended up talking on the phone the same day and then meeting the next day. We went for a walk in a park and out to lunch afterwards. We connected so well and ended up losing touch for about a month. After a month went by he ended up calling and asking to go out again.  | James and I met through Plenty of Fish in June of 2005. We exchanged messages back and forth for a few days, and then I decided to come out to one of his karaoke shows to see him in person. I brought a couple of friends just in case, but after laying eyes on him, I knew he was the one! We started seeing each other and then later that month, James asked if I wanted to be his girlfriend, which of course, I said yes.... Later that summer,I went on vacation to New Orleans - where we both missed each other terribly....then I vacationed once again in Washington in August, and when I came back, he said he had a surprise for me, and when I got to his house, he had written "Will You Marry Me?" in rose petals on his bed. It was so sweet! We've had our tough times, or course, and we even broke up in the summer of 2006 for a little while, but I guess we both realized that we were meant for each other, so we got back together and decided to just get married! We did exactly that in my backyard with some friends around us, and it was wonderful! It's been blissful happiness ever since! Now we're hoping to expand our family and try to have children this year! |
 | Mitch and i met on here 7 months ago and at first i wasn't going to send him back a message because he is in the army. I was concerned that it wouldn't work out because he did not live in the same town as me and the distance I thought would be a problem. We met after chatting on here for a couple of weeks and I was very nervous because I was a single mother of 3 little girls, so I didn't know what they would think either. Now we are engaged and hope to be married next summer, my kids adore him and think very highly of him. He is a great man and we are very happy together, I thank this site for helping me find my soulmate. I wish the best to everyone on here and hope they find that special person too.
