 | Doug sent me a message on October 28, 2005. We seemed to hit it off right away, it seemed like there was always something to talk and laugh about. It was just so easy. We talked on the instant message for a week or so and then we moved on to emails and then the phone. One weekend in the middle of that November I went to meet Doug at his house. We had an even bigger connection in person. That night we stayed up late into the night just talking and sharing. It was awesome. Since that night we haven't been too far apart. We bought our first house and moved in together last August. Doug asked me to marry him on January 14, 2007 and we will be getting married this October. Without Plentyoffish I would have never had the pleasure of meeting the man of my dreams, my future husband! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have gotten to know Doug in an environment were I felt safe and we could take it at a pace were we both felt comfortable. We really got to know each other so well before we even actually met that when we did meet in person it was so easy and comfortable to just be ourselves.  | Chris was in the UK, I was in Georgia (US). The site matched us 100%. He had the comment in his profile "Isn't anyone on here from the bloody south???" (meaning South of England), so I wrote him "Oi...I'm from the south!".....and that's how it all started. lol That was probably on March 24th or 25th, 2006. Our first "off-Fish" email was on March 27th 2006. We chatted on Yahoo everyday from then on, and within a few weeks, he made plans to visit me in June. We knew we wanted to spend our lives together early on, which, for both of us, had never even been a consideration with anyone else since being single again. It was definitely a cosmic connection thing with us! Chris came back to the US in September of last year, and we got married in December. YEAH!! Thanks for helping us find each other :) |
 | I'd been a divorced mom for 4 years... Being a single mom with 4 kids and 2 jobs... let's just say... has been kinda hectic... When I could find some free time to go out, meeting someone at a bar was NOT what I wanted. I'd just about given up on the idea that "soul mates" were real. Then Mike sent me a message on Plenty of Fish. He'd been a divorced dad for about 3 years. He didn't have a photo posted when we first started messaging each other, but he was local and we had a lot in common. After a few hit and miss messages, I didn't hear from him for a while so I took my profile down & took a break from dating... When I posted it again. He had a photo and I was very happy with what I saw. We started messaging each other again, ended up making a date, and since that first night we met in person.... we haven't spent more than a night apart... He's my other half... My doubts about REAL LOVE have been put to rest... and get this... he had only been 15 minutes away the whole time. He lived the next away....and if it hadn't been for Plenty of Fish... maybe we'd never met... Mike proposed on Christmas Day. Patience is a virtue... and true love is worth waiting for. |
 | Mike and I met originally in highschool. We had one class together and didn't really talk much. After school we went our seperate ways, did our own things and dated people. After ending a bad relationship, my mom suggested joining plenty of fish telling me there tons of great guys out there i just needed to look. I will admit I was very hesitant about it. I had heard some bad things about dating websites. I was going through emails deleting ones that didn't intrest me, didn't give enough information, etc.. MY sister who was living with me at the time told me to stop being so picky, that very same day I recieved an email from Mike very vague and kinda dull (sorry hun) and all i could think was well reading his profile he's seems nice maybe i should stop being picky. I emailed him back, we got to talking and i added him to my msn list and we talked more thats when i realized I had went to school with him but it was like we picked up were we left off. We are now engaged and will be married next year and he is everything i could ask for and more. And i have this website to thank for bringing him back into my life. |
 | my daughter recommended plentyoffish so i registered and that same day i received a message from ron who lived in america. we wrote everyday and started ringing each other. after four months ron invited me over and in january of this year i went over and we got on so well and we got engaged and hope to get married this year. i hope this testimonial helps other individuals. thanks to this site i have found happiness with a wonderful man whom i would never have come across otherwise . |
