Married December 2006
Ben and I met thru Plentyoffish.com totally by chance. I had been on the site for several months with no luck and he had been on plenty of horrible dates from women he'd met on the site as well. We were both ready to hang up our keyboards and stop using the site when he happend to see my picture one evening and sent me a one-line email. I responded a few days later and we started chatting via instant-message. He seemed so different than any of the men I'd met thru the site and we had so much in common it was actually kinda creepy. I wasn't really interested in a serious relationship with him due to the fact that we lived 200 miles apart. But, he wore me down and after a few months, we finally met face to face. It was as if we had known each other all our lives. We fit together so perfectly. He asked me to marry him three months after we met and we were married in Vegas just this past December. I still can't believe I met Mr. Right on a dating website, it seems so cheesy and out of character for me. I know that we would have never met had it not been for Plentyoffish. He has been such a blessing to me and my children. I can definitely say that we are a true success story!

Engaged December 2006
I was looking through many dating sites one evening on the internet, trying to find my perfect match. I stumbled upon PLENTY OF FISH, apart from the name attracting me, it was also a free sign up...so, I thought I'd give it a go as many of the other sites that I had tried previously, you had to pay a sign up fee. I created my profile, added a recent photo etc and started looking through the hundred's of profiles straight away. I was amazed about how many members there were! Within the first couple hours I got quite a few messages from other people who were also interested in a relationship, I'd read there profile thoroughly and replied to every message. Quite a few of them I made friend's with, but they just wern't what I was looking for... Then, later on that evening I got a message from a guy calling himself 'TuneMasterFunk'. He asked me a question about my DVD collection. In my profile, I mentioned that I enjoyed films and added that I collected DVD's. So, I read his profile and looked at his photo before I replied...I thought he was gorgeous!!! But, I promised myself not to get too carried away and not to get my hopes up too soon. From that single message he sent, we were in contact via PLENTY OF FISH all night. Then when I had to turn the PC off, for some reason I never gave it a second thought, I sent him my mobile number and that is a very odd thing for me to do, give some 'stranger' my mobile number, and he gave me his. I thought 'Nah, he's not going to get in touch with me'...I waited for about half an hour, I was really excited waiting for him to phone me. I hadn't heard from him. So then, I thought I'd give him a ring. The phone rang for abit and he answered. I was SO excited! He explained that he tried to ring me but it was a wrong number, I found that I'd got the last digit wrong. As you can probably understand it was very nerve-racking and the conversation was a bit awkward at first, but that was simply because we'd spoken so much on PLENTY OF FISH and couldn't find anything different to speak about. We managed to overcome the long silent pauses and found a lot of things we both liked and could relate too. That night I went to sleep with a smile on my face...but, still kept saying to myself 'don't get your hopes up too soon' We spoke again the next day and every day after that. I felt so comfy speaking with him and opened up to him like I'd known him all my life! Dan (a.k.a TuneMasterFunk) asked to meet me one weekend (infact it was 5 days after we first spoke). He was very respectful and said that we could meet half way and that I could bring a friend if I wanted, but, for some reason, I didn't feel the need to bring a friend along. I was so nervous going to meet him, but excited too! I got off the train, saw him, run up to him and gave him a huge hug! I honestly didn't know why I gave him a hug, it just felt right. I just couldn't stop smiling after that. He was even more handsome in the flesh! We only spent a couple of hours with one another that evening and the time seemed to fly by. About 2 weeks afterwards, we were speaking on PLENTY OF FISH, as usual, and he sent me message asking me to be his girlfriend. I was over the moon and replied with a YES!...within a month after that we were living together!...and to my surprise, Christmas Eve 2006 he proposed! Alot of people don't believe in dating site relationship's 'working out'. But me and Dan and the rest of the people here telling their story say and think different...It worked for me and Dan!...and we're very happy! Thank You PLENTY OF FISH!!!!!
