 | We met in July of 2006 and it was a summer to remember. The first night together we knew there was something there. By the second date we knew it was love forever. In the begininng of January 2007 we purchased our new home. At the end of January we was engaged. And we plan to marry late 2007 to early 2008. Plentyoffish was the best thing to happen to us besides each other. If it was not for Markus and his website who which we now owe all of our happiness to who knows where we would be today. I did online dating for 2 years all together and was on 10 different dating sites. I can honestly say that I wasted a lot of time and money because PLENTY OF FISH was the best site out of them all. I just knew what I was looking for in a guy…..what I could live with and what I refused to put up with!! I found him from this site….we talked a little bit through e-mails and instant messenger and have been together since the day we met. We totally clicked on our first date and I love him more and more each day that goes by!! I fell flat on my face IN LOVE with him and knew he was the man I wanted to be with forever, have babies with and grow old with. He asked me to marry him on our 7 month anniversary and after 10 minutes of me crying and nonstop kissing he said “you never answered me…is that a yes??” I said….”Are you kidding me??...of course I will marry you!!” We planned a beautiful wedding and got married 5 months later on October 21, 2006. I never in my life thought I was capable of loving someone this much!! He left for Iraq in January and it felt like someone ripped my heart right out of my chest. But, I look at it this way if I have to live without him one more year of my life to get him for the rest of my life then he is definitely worth the wait!!  | David kept sending me very romantic emails over Plentyofish in Jan 2006. After a month and a half, I finally succumed to his attempts and started chatting via the phone for 2 weeks right after Valentines Day. He then asked if he could fly me to meet him in Tampa, FL sometime. We decided on Feb 28, '06 to meet. He had already charmed me with his emails, pictures and all night phone conversations. When we met it was the most exciting, wonderful, loving, romantic experience of my life...I was asking myself if at last I had finally found my soulmate. Upon the end of this most fantastic weekend, he took me to the airport. We were sitting waiting for my flight, delightfully chatting away, when he got doww on one knee and asked me to marry him... naturally I said yes. I returned to Florida on March 14, 2006 for a test trial of three weeks to make sure that what we felt was for real, I was to return home on April 2, 2006. The same day I was to return to Missouri, we got married by a Justice of the Peace. We finally found each other via Penty of Fish. We are still very happy and estatically married approaching our first anniversary.  | Thank you POF!!! I had all but given up hope on meeting "The One". Then one day, I received a letter from a wonderful woman, (Kerbear2) simply saying "hello". She was the first one who was HONEST in letters, not saying one thing on her profile and being the opposite when we met, i.e. Drinking, smoking or drug use. When she shared her photo, it was recent, unlike so many others who would send an old photo from the days of when “time was kind”. She was true to her word and I simply wanted to learn more. We spoke a few more times through emails and then finally on the phone. It was if we had known each other for years, our conversations were never boring or filled with uncomfortable silences. This was awesome and nearly too good to be true!!! She is from Canada and myself from the States. In the beginning, I was a little worried about the crossing the border to date someone or begin a relationship, then we met in person, she took my breath away!!! She was exactly as she had described as well as exactly the woman I believed she was. She was the woman that I had been holding my breath for and dreamt about for years. Everyday that we spend together, and in every conversation, I fall in love with Kerry over and over. The feeling had never been so strong, knowing the feeling of love from the past, it did not come close in comparison. This was genuine and true. We were engaged to marry in Oct of 2006. One month later, we decided to elope here Stateside and plan a family wedding in the late summer of 2007 in Northern Canada. There have been no regrets in getting married as quickly as we did. We often ask each other why we didn't do it sooner than we did! Our reason for "Why so soon?”, or “What's the rush?" is simple; have you ever dated someone for many months to many years, found yourself engaged or even married only to discover you never really knew or loved the person? We both had shared similar experiences and believed this to be completely different than prior experiences. So, with that said, we chose to take the leap of faith. What a wonderful leap it has been.  | I only put a profile on your website because a friend talked me into the fact that I needed to try something new when it comes to finding a mate. I never expected to find anyone on the internet. Honestly, I thought the concept was outrageous. But obviously, it became a quick reality. After we talked online and over the phone for a few weeks, we agreed on a first date. I was so nervous, I spent over a week planning it. Since the first time our eyes met, we both knew there was something magical.
