We met by chance on plenty of fish, actually I am the one (Liz27) who found him (Lasalleirishguy). At first he didnt respond to my IM,but with persistance i finally got through and we emailed. At first I was skeptic, since i had met may other men in the past and had gotten disappointed. Then as I continued to chat with him, i grew more and more interested..as well as the fact that he had all the qualities I wanted in a man...especially the fact that he was a red head.lol! Anyway, he was at first hesitant to meet me. In the end he decided that it was the only logical way to actually see if we were for real.We ended up meeting at a POF party. A friend of mine came with me and he as well brought a friend. It was awkward at first but we soon felt comfertable. As we left we shared a kiss, I felt as if there was something there...we decided to go on a one on one date. It was so romantic. It was fall so he took me to see the leaves...and after he made me dinner..and that whole night we talked and talked and found out we wanted the same things in life. That's when we knew we were meant to be. We have been together ever since, and now we are moving in together and planning to get engaged. I couldnt be any happier than I am when I am with my Lasalleirishguy! Thanks POF~ lIZ27XOXOX
Josh and I met through plentyoffish.com in June of 2006. We arranged to meet on our lunch hour because we lived in the same city. We thought it would be a good way because it was only for lunch, and there would be no real expectations other than meeting and getting to know one another. Well I am pleased to say that everything went so wonderful. We really clicked, and have been together ever since. We are now planning our wedding for June 23rd, 2007 (one year after we met!)(currently seeking sponsors for our wedding/honeymoon *hint hint*) We always encourage some of our friends to use plentyoffish.com because it is easy, and FREE. Not like those other sites who are just trying to make profits from people truly looking for their soul mate. Plentyoffish.com cares about its userbase. I think living in a new city, it is hard to make friends outside of work who may have similar interests as you do. So if you are looking for true love, or just looking for a friend to hang out with, we both truly recommend using Plentyoffish.com. Thank you POF!!
I said "Howdy Maam" and the next thing I know I was married to the most beautiful woman in the world.
I often saw Paul's picture in the "Online Now" section of Plentyoffish.com. I thought he was soooo handsome, but hesitated to contact him because I thought there would be way too much competition. We aren't sure who finally messaged who first. All I know is that we started messaging and then talking on the phone. We set up a date for July 21st. ...and then I had a house fire! I called Paul to cancel the date and he thought I was making up an excuse not to meet with him. ;o) We finally did get together on July 26, 2006 at 6:00 PM. It was love at first site. After a few dates we were inseperable. On Sweetest Day, in October '06 Paul took me to a lovely restaraunt on the Ohio River. The waitresses presented me with an unordered dessert. I lifted the cover on the platter, and was shocked to see an absolutely beautiful ring! Paul proposed with teary eyes and of course, I accepted! On December 13, 2006 at 6:00 PM- exactly 20 weeks after we first met, we got married in Las Vegas. We were shocked to learn that only two hours after our wedding ceremony, another couple who had found love on Plentyoffish.com got married in the same exact wedding chapel!!!! What are the odds? Paul and now share a home in Ohio. We get along wonderfully. Life together is pure bliss. Paul has welcomed my 5 sons, ages 16, 14, 11, 8, and 5... and one big fat cat. Paul is the love of my life. He feels the same way about me, and we are proud to say that we met on Plentyoffish.com.
I started talking to Lawrence in April 2005. We got on like a house on fire and swapped numbers. We finally met in person in August 2005 and started dating. Went on our first holiday together in December 2005 where he asked me to marry him. April 2006 Lawrence moved in with me and my daughter and we haven't been apart ever since :) We are getting married in July 2009 and I can't wait.
