 | We started chatting online in August 2005. We met for several coffees during late August. Our first official date was at a POF meet and we've been together ever since!!  | We had both been in the dating scene for quite sometime. We had met people we had thought might make good friends and lovers, but we had both found things just didn’t seem right with the people we had met. Some things were there, but not enough to make the special connection. We had both heard of Plenty of fish from friends and decided to try it. I was only on for a little over a day when the most wonderful guy wrote me a short note, just saying how are you. I responded with a simple hi how are you, and four hours later we decided it was late, well early in the morning and we should get to bed. We both felt something strong, we just weren’t sure that the other felt the same way at first. I decided to give him my number in the hopes that he would give me a call, and I could see if he felt the same sparks I was feeling. We talked the next night on the phone, and after only a few minutes it felt like we had known each other all our lives. We then made plans to meet the following Sunday, only two days after we first talked. It seemed weird but at the same time very natural. We met for dinner and I was so nervous, but he was sweet and just let me relax in my own time instead of being pushy and forcing me to relax. By the end of that first night we knew we were meant to be together and will be together for the rest of our lives. This past valentines day we got engaged and it just feels right for the first time ever. After only a few months, it still feels just as special as that first night only without the nervousness. I know that people feel strange when putting themselves online, I know I was one of them. It was this site that gave me the hope to find that right person that I have been waiting for who was out there waiting for me. Thanks to plenty of fish, I found my soul mate. I know it seems like time and time you ended up in bad relationships, but those relationships tend to end up to what I just found, my lover, and my best friend. Just to those who are still looking just let it happen, and don’t just give up. Thanks again and good luck to everyone else out there. |
 | I never once thought my life was complete until I met Trevor. Yes we've only been dating for a short period amount of time. But neither of us have actually found happiness until we met. He moved over 900 miles to be with me. IF that isn't love then I don't know what is. I feel so different around him than I have anyone else. Meeting him for the first time back on Jan 6th I was extremely nervous. But when I finally saw him I knew right then and there he and I would work out. We fell so hard for each other that we decided we wanted to get married really soon. We plan to get married on Oct 23rd, 2006. I know most of you are thinking.."Omg they just started dating why so soon, thats retarded". If you saw me and him together you would think we were the perfect couple also. I'm really happy with him and I cannot wait until he's my husband and I'm his wife! So for all those who are about to give up on looking don't give up..but dont' waste ur time on people who don't care about you either. Love wil find you somehow..when you least expect it. I didn't except to find Trevor. It just happend. So don't give up hope!! There is someone out there for everyone! |
 | It was the winter of '04-'05 when California was having one of the wetest winters on record. Both of us had tried several other sites withour success and were just about ready to give up. I had seen a ad on the internet for Plenty of Fish and figured I would give it a shot. My wife had a friend who had recently signed on and he convinced her to do the same. On New Years Day she emailed me and after several emails back and forth we exchanged numbers. Within a week we had agreed to meet for dinner. That night was the start of a beautiful thing. We spent a majority of the weekend together going to the LA Auto show and watching movies. After about six months we moved in together and by Christmas 2005 we were engaged. I proposed on Christmas Day infront of her parents, sister, her sister's boyfriend, our brand new nephew, my parents, and my uncle. Shortly after we met I knew that she was something special. For those of you out there, keep believing and you will find someone too. |
 | Norton and I met in April of 2006, He had just moved to the Phoenix area a few day before we met.The night we were talking online I was having computer problems so i gave him my number and he called me. We talked for a while on the phone then I invited him over for pizza. He came over and we ended up talking till like 3 am. He ended up stayin over cause he lived 45 mins away and i didnt want him driving cause he was really tired. After that we were pretty much together everyday after that. I moved in with him about a month later. We spend everyday together and its always amazing. He proposed to me in october when we went to Las Vegas. Were now living in Alaska and helping his mom run her business. We are getting married in June and are planning to have kid. Ive never been so happy in my life and im very thankful for this website cause without it i would have never met the man im suppost to spend the rest of my life with. Thanks Clarissa and Norton |
